  1. Short:    Let FastView produce RANDOM slideshows EASILY!

  8. This program is FREEWARE, distribute it any way you like - but don't charge
  9. more than the price of disk.

  11. FastView2 has not been included, but the lastest version can be downloaded
  12. from Aminet.
  13.  
  14. I now use FastView2 for viewing virtually all of my graphics collection.
  15. FastView is FAST and can show complete directories of pictures. Kewl I 
  16. thought, but there were two things missing;-
  17.  
  18.       1    It wouldn't show the pictures in a directory - randomly
  19.       2    No fancy wipes when changing screen.
  20.  
  21. So, armed with a copy of AMOS Professional V2, I proceeded to sort out one
  22. of the above problems - showing random pictures from a directory - until
  23. all of the pictures have been shown.

  25. Providing FastView is in your C: directory, you may issue the following
  26. command
  27.  
  28. FASTVIEWRND data:graphics/allpics/
  29.  
  30. The above command starts up FASTVIEWRND and tells it that the graphics
  31. drawer is data:graphics/allpics/. It is very important that you do not
  32. forgot to issue the forwardslash "/".
  33.  
  34. FASTVIEWRND then reads the complete directory (upto 500 files) - picks one,
  35. and then  runs FastView to view the picture. Click left mouse button to
  36. continue and it will look like the program has stopped - don't be fooled -
  37. this is a bug which I am going to sort out VERY soon. If you go to close
  38. the window gadget - FASTVIEWRND starts back up, continuing to show the
  39. rest of the pictures.

  41. I imagine some people, if not most, will just dive in and not be able to
  42. use the program. Well, that's what happens when you don't read docs ;)
